Ingredients
* 1 bunch of fresh organic celery
* 1/2 Lime or Lemon (to brighten the flavor and prevent browning)
* 1/2 cup Water (only if using a blender)
* Optional: A small handful of fresh cilantro or parsley (as seen in your image)
Instructions
* Prep: Wash the celery stalks thoroughly to remove any dirt or sand. Trim the very ends of the stalks.
* Chop: Cut the celery into 1-inch pieces.
* Blend: Place the celery, lime juice, and water into a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth.
* Strain: Pour the mixture through a nut milk bag, fine-mesh strainer, or cheesecloth into a pitcher. Squeeze well to extract all the liquid.
* Serve: Drink immediately on an empty stomach for the “traditional” experience, or over ice if you just want a tasty beverage.
A Quick Note on “Cleansing”
While celery contains antioxidants like apigenin and luteolin, drinking it won’t actually “scrub” your organs. It is, however, excellent for:
* Hydration: It’s mostly water and electrolytes.
* Digestion: The enzymes can help some people with bloating.
* Vitamin K: Great for bone health and blood clotting.
