Soft & Fluffy Homemade Bread

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour for a chewier texture)

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

1 ½ tbsp sugar (for a hint of sweetness)

1 tsp salt

3/4 cup warm milk (instead of water for extra softness)

2 tbsp butter, melted (for richness)

1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

2. Add flour, salt, melted butter, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine, then knead for 8–10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.

4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.

5. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.

6. Brush the top with a little melted butter for a golden crust.

7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.

8. Let cool before slicing.
