Ingredients:
- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed tomato soup
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Boil cabbage leaves for 2 minutes; drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, rice, onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Place about 1/4 cup of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold in sides and roll up.
- Place cabbage rolls in a large baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine tomato soup, diced tomatoes, water, lemon juice, and brown sugar. Pour over cabbage rolls.
- Cover and bake for 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
