How to Make Banana Bread
1. Mash the Bananas
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
2. Mix Wet Ingredients
Add melted butter to the mashed bananas. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
3. Add Dry Ingredients
Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture. Add the flour and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix — this keeps the bread soft and tender.
4. Add Extras (Optional)
Fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or cinnamon if using.
5. Bake
Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Cool & Enjoy
Let the banana bread cool for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing.
