🔥 Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions 🔥
📌 Ingredients:
• 1 lb (about 450g) steak, thinly sliced
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp cornstarch
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 green bell pepper, sliced
• 1 medium onion, sliced
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
• 1 tbsp additional soy sauce
• 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional but adds great flavor)
• 1 tsp brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 cup water
📌 Instructions:
1️⃣ In a bowl, mix the sliced steak with 2 tbsp soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
2️⃣ Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3️⃣ In the same pan, add the bell pepper and onion. Stir-fry for 2 minutes, then add garlic and ginger. Cook for another minute.
4️⃣ Return the steak to the pan. Add the additional soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and water. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5️⃣ Serve hot with steamed rice! 🍚
