Crispy Beer-Battered Fish & Chips 🐟🍟

📝 Ingredients:
For the Fish:
1 lb fresh white fish (cod, haddock, or tilapia)
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup rice flour (for extra crispiness)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp smoked paprika
1 cup cold sparkling water
1 egg yolk
3 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Chips:
4 large potatoes, cut into fries
Salt, to taste
🍽️ Instructions:
1️⃣ Heat the oil – In a deep skillet or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
2️⃣ Make the batter – In a bowl, mix flour, rice flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Whisk in the egg yolk and cold sparkling water until smooth.
3️⃣ Coat the fish – Dip each fish fillet into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
4️⃣ Fry the fish – Carefully place the fish into the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
5️⃣ Fry the chips – In the same oil, fry the potato fries until golden brown. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
