Teriyaki Beef and Avocado Rice Stack

Teriyaki Beef and Avocado Rice Stack 🥩🥑

A savory and vibrant meal that combines tender beef, creamy avocado, and flavorful rice in one easy-to-make stack.

Ingredients:

For the rice:

2 cups jasmine rice (or your preferred rice)

3 cups vegetable or chicken broth

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

For the beef:

1 pound sirloin steak or flank steak, thinly sliced

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

For the avocado:

1 ripe avocado, sliced

Lime juice, to taste

Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the rice: In a medium pot, bring the broth to a boil. Stir in the rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and set aside.

2. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, and grated ginger. Add the sliced beef, toss to coat, and marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes for more flavor.

3. Cook the beef: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill or sear the marinated beef for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and set aside.

4. Prepare the avocado: While the beef is cooking, slice the avocado and drizzle with a little lime juice and salt to taste to enhance its flavor.

5. Assemble the stack: On a serving plate, layer a scoop of rice, followed by a layer of grilled beef, and top with fresh avocado slices. You can stack it higher for a more impressive presentation or serve it as a simple layered dish.

6. Serve and enjoy: Serve immediately and savor the blend of savory, sweet, and fresh flavors.
