Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in the oats and pecans.
- Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.
- While the cookies are cooling, drizzle them with maple syrup for an extra touch of sweetness.
