Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In the prepared baking dish, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Make three depressions in the dry ingredients. Pour the vanilla, vinegar, and vegetable oil into the depressions.
- Pour the water over all, and mix until smooth.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the baking dish, then frost as desired.
