Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, eggs, and vanilla until just combined. Mix in the melted butter.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Drop the mixture by spoonfuls over the batter. Use a knife to swirl through the batter.
If using, sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 25-30 minutes.
While the cake is baking, make the icing by beating together the softened butter, powdered sugar, 1-2 tablespoons milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
Drizzle the icing over the warm cake.
