Runza Casserole for Two

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the chopped cabbage, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until the cabbage is tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Spread the beef and cabbage mixture into the bottom of a small baking dish. Top with shredded Cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and place it over the top of the cheese, sealing the edges.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until the crescent roll dough is golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
