Melt-in-Your-Mouth Apple Pie 🍏🥧
Ingredients:
🔸 For the Cake:
• 2 apples (one diced, one sliced)
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 2 eggs
• A pinch of salt
• 8g (1 tsp) vanilla sugar
• 120g (0.6 cup) sugar
• 100ml (1/2 cup) vegetable oil
• 130ml (1/2 cup) warm milk
• 280g (1.75 cups) flour
• 16g (2 tsp) baking powder
• 50g raisins
🔸 For Brushing & Topping:
• 1 egg yolk
• 2 tbsp milk
• Powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Apples:
• Mix the diced apple with 1 tbsp of sugar and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Batter:
• In a bowl, whisk eggs with a pinch of salt, vanilla sugar, and regular sugar until fluffy.
• Add vegetable oil and warm milk, then mix well.
• Gradually add flour and baking powder, stirring until smooth.
• Fold in the diced apple and raisins.
3️⃣ Bake the Cake:
• Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
• Arrange the apple slices on top.
• Mix the egg yolk with 2 tbsp of milk and brush over the apples.
• Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35-40 minutes or until golden.
4️⃣ Final Touch:
• Let it cool, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
