Delicious Pork Pochero Recipe 😋❤️
Ingredients:
2 lbs pork belly, cut into cubes
2–3 tbsp oil
2 ripe saba bananas, sliced into 3 pieces each
1 small carrot, cut into chunks
1 large or 2 medium potatoes, quartered
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp fish sauce
¼ tsp ground pepper
2–3 cups pork broth or water
1 cup Baguio beans
1 small cabbage, quartered
Instructions:
1. Prepare the pork: Boil pork belly in water until tender. Once done, separate the meat from the broth.
2. Fry the veggies: Heat oil in a pan and lightly fry the potatoes, carrots, and bananas until golden brown. Set aside.
3. Sauté the aromatics: In the same pan, sauté garlic, onion, and tomatoes until softened.
4. Cook the pork: Add the boiled pork belly and tomato paste. Stir well, then season with fish sauce and ground pepper.
5. Combine ingredients: Return the fried potatoes, carrots, bananas, and Baguio beans to the pan. Pour in the broth and let it simmer until the sauce thickens and the vegetables are cooked.
6. Final touch: Add the cabbage, cover the pot, and let it cook for about 3 minutes.
7. Serve & enjoy!
