Italian Sub Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:
• 1 Italian baguette or sub roll
• 4 slices salami
• 4 slices pepperoni
• 4 slices prosciutto (optional)
• 4 slices smoked turkey or roasted chicken
• 2 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
• 4 slices tomato
• ½ cup shredded lettuce
• ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
• ¼ cup sliced pepperoncini (pickled Italian peppers)
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
• ½ teaspoon dried oregano
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:
1. Slice the bread in half lengthwise and lightly toast it if desired.
2. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar evenly over both halves of the bread.
3. Layer the meats: salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, and turkey.
4. Add the cheese slices on top of the meats.
5. Arrange the tomato slices, lettuce, red onion, and pepperoncini over the cheese.
6. Sprinkle with oregano, salt, and black pepper.
7. Close the sandwich, press it slightly, and slice it in half.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
