Cherry Cobbler 🍒

A delightful, golden-crusted dessert with juicy cherries—perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients:

✅ 230 g (1 ¾ cups) flour
✅ 10 g (2 tsp) baking powder
✅ 100 g (½ cup) sugar
✅ 90 g (6 tbsp) cold butter
✅ 100 ml (⅓ cup) kefir or yogurt
✅ 100 g (⅓ cup) cream cheese
✅ 1 tsp vanilla sugar
✅ A pinch of salt
✅ 300 g (2 cups) cherries (fresh or frozen)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the filling: Mix cherries with sugar and cornstarch, then spread them in a baking dish.

2️⃣ Make the dough:

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt.

Add cold butter and rub it into the mixture with your fingers until it forms crumbs.

Pour in kefir or yogurt, add cream cheese, and mix until you get a soft dough.

3️⃣ Shape & Assemble:

Roll the dough on a floured surface into a round sheet matching the dish’s size.

Cut it into squares or diamonds and place them over the cherry filling.

4️⃣ Bake:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 45-50 minutes, until the crust turns golden.

If the dough edges stick together while baking, gently separate them with a knife.

💡 Tip: If using very juicy cherries, baking time may be slightly longer.
