Sweet Chili Chicken Wings
Crafted with love and paired with homemade sweet chili sauce.

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Wings:

1 kg chicken wings

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp curry powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

For the Sweet Chili Sauce:

5 long red chilies, finely chopped

5 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp chili flakes

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup white vinegar

1/3 cup honey

1/2 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (slurry)

Instructions:

For the Chicken Wings:

1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, onion powder, paprika, curry powder, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix well to coat evenly.

2. Arrange the wings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or foil.

3. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30–35 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.

For the Sweet Chili Sauce:

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped chilies, garlic, paprika, chili flakes, water, white vinegar, and honey. Stir to mix.

2. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5–7 minutes until the chilies soften.

3. Add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan, stirring continuously, and simmer for 2–3 more minutes until the sauce thickens.

4. Take off the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

To Serve:

1. Toss the baked wings in the sweet chili sauce until fully coated.

2. Serve warm with a side of fresh lime wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.
