Creamy Classic Banana Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 (5-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 (12-ounce) box vanilla wafers
  • 4 cups sliced ripe bananas

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole milk, instant vanilla pudding mix, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the pudding is thick and smooth.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until well combined.
  4. In a trifle dish or a large bowl, layer the vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding mixture. Repeat the layers, ending with the pudding mixture on top.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  6. Before serving, garnish with additional vanilla wafers or banana slices if desired.
